Here it is, folks, my Mint Tomato*:
Pattern: Tomato by Wendy Bernard (from the book No Sheep for You, or free here)
Started: Sunday, July 8 2007
Finished: Wednesday, October 10 2007
Yarn: Lion Brand Cotton-Ease
Main Color: Mint (Discontinued Color)
Contrast Color: Blueberry (Discontinued Color)
Needles: Size 9US Circular
I didn’t make any alterations to the pattern, but there are a couple of things I wish I had done differently. The bottom of the body and the sleeves have ribbing, but there is 1 row of plain knitting before the bind-off. I should have just bound-off from the ribbing rather than adding the extra row of knitting. The knit row adds just a touch of tightness, to the sleeves especially. Also, I think I would have liked a few more rows of ribbing on the sleeves. This picture (click to enlarge) shows the weirdness on each side of the neck ribbing that I hope blocking will remove.
* Nathan didn’t get home from work in time to take a picture of me actually wearing this sweater yesterday (have I mentioned how hard it is to take pictures in our dark apartment?), so I hope to get a “model” photo this weekend :)
Oh it came out SOOOOOO pretty. I love it. Now I want to make one!!!

It looks great! Was that the “new” cotton ease or the old line?
