Knitting

I’m making rather slow progress on the Hourglass Sweater:

Hourglass Sweater

Yarn from Plain & Fancy Sheep & Wool Co.

After finishing the decrease rows, I realized I made a mistake on 1 side, but I’m far enough past that part that I’m not going back to fix it! I figure no one will really notice it anyway, since it’s along the side of the sweater.

Here’s the next project I’d like to start:

2-at-a-time Socks

I’ve been wanting to knit socks for quite a while. Since I don’t really like using DPNs, I thought the Magic Loop would be a good technique to learn. And, while I’m at it, I might as well learn how to knit 2 socks at once, right?

  1. Good luck with the two-at-a-time, Terrie! I can do it (knitting with my usual two circs), but I much prefer doing just one sock at a time…but that’s just me.

  2. You can do two socks at once using magic loop? Oh man, sign me up! I hear you on the dpns. I actually bought some 40″ circulars to learn the magic loop but haven’t yet. I also have second sock syndrome and that one of the reasons I don’t really knit socks but if I could do at once WITH magic loop, I think that’d be right up my alley. I’ll stay tuned to see what you do. LOVE the sock yarn!

  3. Of course you want to knit 2 socks at once, crazy woman! Well, I love your choice in sock yarn, that is delish. And you can always learn to knit socks and work on them at knit nights, at family events, while traveling, on lunch breaks at work. Can you see I’m trying to convert you to the dark side of sock knitting? :-)

  4. I love the yarn you are using for the hourglass sweater. And the sock yarn is too cute. Can’t wait to hear how you get on with 2 at a time… it’s something I’d love to try.

  5. Love the yarn, and THAT is the book that finally allowed me to find my way through doing two socks at one time. I can’t imagine doing them any other way, ever again!

  6. I love your yarn choice for socks! If you haven’t yet, you might want to join the 2-at-a-Time Socks group on Ravelry – it’s a hugely supportive group of people there who are often able to sort out problems before I can even read the posts! Good luck!!
