(Not-So)Instant Gratification Cardigan

Of course, it would have been done much sooner if I had actually worked on it :) Charlie was helping me finish it today:

Pattern: Instant Gratification Cardi-Jacket
Started: Friday, May 30, 2008
Finished: Friday July 4, 2008
Yarn: Araucania Nature Cotton in Putty (#31)
Needles: Size 11US

Since I started the 1st sleeve at camp (and was probably watching a movie at the same time), I unintentionally altered the sleeve pattern a little bit. I ended up doing a few more decrease rows than the pattern called for and my sleeves came out a little more tapered. Oh well, it still fits :) Now I just need to find a cool shawl pin to keep it closed!

  1. A cardigan in a month — that’s impressive in my books. Looks lovely and I can’t wait to see you modelling it!

  2. It looks great! I think it is going to look amazing on you. Have you tried Etsy for a cool pin? I will have to keep an eye out and let you know if I see some.

  3. He’s just helping add extra warmth with the inclusion of his fur in the fiber! It looks like a great sweater to ward off the chill from a/c on overdrive…

  4. Awwww…Charlie is such a good little helper! :) Jesse loves to lay on anything made out of that yarn, it’s kind of weird. I can’t wait to see you wearing that sweater too…I’ll be watching for a cool shawl pin too. Any particular shape or color you are looking for?

  5. That turned out great! I’ve been eyeballing that yarn every time I see it thinking about making one ever since you started yours. I love it.
