I knit these booties for one of my knitting friends, Kari. Although I had planned on knitting these for her, I hadn’t even started them when my knitting group decided to have a baby shower for her the very next week. I wasn’t able to start knitting them until 2 days before the shower! I knit like crazy and actually had the booties knit and seamed up in time, but, alas, I didn’t have any buttons! Luckily Kari is a Knitter, so she understands receiving a gift that’s not quite finished and giving it back for finishing :D
I found these cute elephant buttons at Joann Fabrics and was able to give them back to Kari this past Tuesday :)
Thank you so much again Terrie! They turned out so darn cute!

Those are so cute I’ve already picked yarn and plan to whip out a pair for baby W tonight, purchase buttons tomorrow, and then inform her father they’re in his gear rack at the station… pick ’em up next time you drive by.
(How long can I put off the cabled acrylic blanket that hurts my hands? Until fall?)
