Pretty Floral Cards

Happy June friends! I hope you’re doing well. Today I’m sharing two floral birthday cards I made recently.

These were relatively quick to make because I worked on each card assembly-line style. I stamped 6 flowers using the outline stamp, then 2 flowers of each color with the three layering stamps in pinks and purples. Next I stamped the centers of the flowers with yellow for the pink flowers and orange for the purple flower. Finally I stamped the leaves in greens and then cut everything out using the coordinating dies.

Because I wanted to use 3 flowers on each card, and they’re quite big, I decided to make 5″ x 7″ cards this time. I die cut 2 white panels slightly smaller than the card bases and used a stencil to add polka dots to the background. On one panel I used a light pink ink and for the other panel I used a light purple ink. I tried to be light-handed with the ink, and I sort of ink blended in an oval shape, so I didn’t cover the full panel.

I arranged the flowers and leaves on the stenciled panel to get my sentiment placement correct. After stamping the sentiments, I adhered the panels to the card bases, then adhered the flowers and leaves as shown. I left the edges of the flowers loose for a little dimension.

Thanks for stopping by, have a wonderful day!

I’m also submitting this card to the Altenew June 2024 Inspiration challenge and the Simon Says: Bright & Cheerful challenge
