On Your Special Day Floral Card

Happy Autumn! I can’t believe it’s almost the end of September already! I’m really looking forward to the cooler fall temps, although it’s still in the 80’s here. Since it doesn’t really feel like Autumn yet, it’s a good time to share this floral birthday I made using the cosmos background press plate and stencils.

This time, I used the cosmos backdrop with my Glimmer hot foil machine and silver foil for my background panel. This gave the floral image a fun shiny letterpress look. Using the coordinating stencils I colored the background as shown, then adhered the panel to a white card base.

For the sentiment, I used hot foil plate on dark blue cardstock with the same silver foil. I used the coordinating die to cut it out, then cut 2 more pieces of cardstock and glued them all together for a bit of dimension. Finally I adhered this piece to the middle-right of the card. To finish the card, I added a few dew drop embellishments to the top-right and bottom-left of the card.

And here’s a closer look at the foil outline of the floral background image. So fun, and I really love this blue colorway :)

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you have a wonderful day!

I’m also submitting this card to Simon Says: Make Your Own Background challenge.
