Happy Easter!

Hi friends, I hope your April is off to a good start! It’s been so nice to see all the flowers blooming and trees starting to get their leaves, but the weather has been all over the place. Nice and warm, them cold and snowy; but it should be sunny and warmer for Easter :)

My parents & sister came to visit the first week of April, and we had a nice time visiting some of our favorite places: Rocky Mountain National Park (we always drive through Estes Park to see The Stanley Hotel from The Shining), Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge, and The Wild Animal Sanctuary (which we haven’t been to in several years). Unfortunately I didn’t take many pictures, but we had a good time looking for animals/birds and spending time together :)

Here are the Easter cards I made for my family and mother-in-law. Our parents received these fun embossed cards; I really love the texture the embossing folder creates!

After using the embossing folder on purple and yellow card panels, I stamped the sentiment on white cardstock with purple and yellow ink, then die cut with an oval die. For the purple card, I cut a thin vellum strip, wrapped it around the panel and adhered it on the back. Next I adhered the sentiment in the middle of the panel and adhered the panel to a white card base. For the yellow card, I wrapped a narrow white ribbon around the panel, adhered it on the back, added the sentiment and adhered it all to a white card base.

For my sister’s card, I stamped the flowers, then used the layering stamps for extra details with the cute bunny. I stamped the sentiments as shown, then colored the flowers and ground with colored pencils. I adhered this panel to a white card base.

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you have a Happy Easter and enjoy your day!
