Hi Friends, I hope you’re doing well! Do you celebrate St. Patrick’s Day? We spend time with Nathan’s family; his mom makes a wonderful corned beef and cabbage dinner! Today I have three cards to share for the holiday.
My first card uses some fun postage stamp rectangle dies and patterned paper. I die cut a piece of green paper with gold speckles slightly smaller than my white card base and adhered it to the front of the card. Next I die cut a smaller rectangle from both glitter paper and a lighter green paper with dark green speckles. I heat embossed the sentiment on the lighter green paper, adhered it at an angle over the glitter paper, and adhered it to the card base as shown. I found an Irish blessing online, and using my Cameo and sketch pen, I created 2 blessings for the inside of this card and the next. I used the same larger rectangle die to cut the blessing out and adhere it to the inside of my card. I think this is a really fun design that can be used for all kinds of cards!
My second card uses a beautiful leaf press plate and gold foil. I used this with a pretty piece of green card stock, and I love how this background looks! Using the same green cardstock, I heat embossed the sentiment, then cut it out in a long oval shape. I cut 2 more pieces of green and adhered them together for some dimension. I adhered the sentiment to the middle of the panel, then adhered the panel to a white card base. Taking the other blessing I created, I die cut a stitched rectangle slightly smaller than my card and adhered the panel inside the card.
On my last card, I adhered a piece of green with white polka dots paper on a white card base. Next I cut 2 tags, a larger one out of the light green with dark green speckled paper, and a smaller tag out of white. I stamped 2 clovers and the sentiment in green on the white tag, then used green & white twine to tie the tags together. Finally I adhered these tags to the card base with foam tape for dimension. I stamped the same “happy st. patrick’s day” sentiment used on the other two cards inside this card.
Thanks for stopping by; have a wonderful day!
May the Irish hills caress you.
May her lakes and rivers bless you.
May the luck of the Irish enfold you.
May the blessings of Saint Patrick behold you.
