Knitting, Knitting - FOs

My First Knitting Project!

I’ve finally finished a knitting project! I’ve actually had it done for about a month, but this is the first time I’ve had a chance to mention it.

I learned how to knit back in April when I met Stacey and her knitting group at Monkey Bean in Denver. I practiced for a couple weeks after learning, but then Nathan and I were getting ready to move, and with all the packing, moving, and unpacking, I stopped knitting. By the time I tried knitting again, I kind of forgot what I was doing.

I took a 4 week class in September at Shuttles, Spindles & Skeins in Boulder. I really enjoyed the class and got to learn how to knit on circular needles and DPN’s! Here is my first completed project:

Hat

I used Plymouth Encore Chunky yarn in an oatmeal color (#240) on 16″ circular needles, size 10.5. It was really fun to knit on circular needles!

I have a pink/mauve scarf and gloves. I’d love to find some yarn that is a close enough color that I could knit a matching hat. We’ll see what I find.
