I finished my first hat for the Soaring Eagles Project yesterday! This one was made using the color Carnival. I love how the different colors turned out!
I realized earlier in the day that I didn’t have the DPNs I needed to finish the hat. I’m using size 10 1/2 circular needles, and when I was in class, they let us borrow the correct DPN size to finish our hats. When I tried making the other hat (which we shall never speak of again), I used size 9 circulars, so I couldn’t use the same DPNs to finish this one.
Oh well. That gave me an excuse to go shopping! :) I’ve been meaning to check out Mew Mew’s Yarn Shop, so that’s where I went yesterday afternoon. It’s a bit tiny, but cute, and Mew Mew the cat is adorable! I bought some Crystal Palace Bamboo Needles and finished the hat in the store. When I got home I added the pom pom.
I cast on for the second hat last night. Hopefully I will be able to finish it soon and start the third hat.
