Estes Park Wool Market

Friday morning a few of us headed up to Estes Park. Our first stop was at Shuttles, Spindles & Skeins in Boulder. Then we went to Turley’s for lunch, although I think we all got breakfast :) Very yummy! After eating we drove to Allenspark and met the rest of the girls at Meeker Park Lodge. We went out to dinner for Stacey’s birthday. We had a great time knitting, eating and laughing!

Saturday we were up bright and early for the Wool Market. Allenspark is really close to Estes Park, so we got there before the market opened. But that’s ok, we had time to check out some of the animals :)

When the market opened, our first stop was the Plain & Fancy booth. If you don’t get the colors you want right away, they may not be there later…it can get awfully busy in that booth :) After looking at all the beautiful yarn, jewelry, etc. all I came home with was this:

Plain & Fancy Sheep and Wool Co – Pale Turquoise

I couldn’t really decide what I wanted to do with any of the other colors I liked, so I’m just going to make a pretty scarf with the Pale Turquoise.

Here we all are after shopping:

Most of us headed home Saturday afternoon; we stopped at Oskar Blues on the way for lunch. Their Sweet Potato Fries are so good! Although I don’t have any pictures, we did all Knit In Public while waiting for our food :D
