Twilight, Red Rocks & Knitting

TwilightThursday night I went with some friends to see Twilight. It’s always hard to make a move as good as the book, especially if there is any kind of supernatural element. Overall, I thought the movie was very good, and I hope they continue with the sequels. Of course, I could have done without the screaming teens :) Now I really want to re-read all the books in this series!

My friend Mary-Kay has opened an online shop for Red Rocks Fiber Works! She does a beautiful job with color and dyes both yarn and fiber. Check it out!

Although I haven’t shown much lately, I’ve actually been knitting, too! I started Loppem a few weeks ago:

Loppem

I haven’t been working on it as much as I’d like. I’ve been knitting more barn raising squares and also working on a secret Christmas project (Rav link).

Loppem Cable

This is good practice for cabling without a cable needle!

  1. I enjoyed the movie too :)
The Loppem is a beautiful pattern, I look forward to seeing how you get on with it. I really like the charcoal colour that you are using.

  2. I haven’t gotten to see the movie yet. I may drag the Knight along on Thursday…

Your “without a needle” cables are lovely. I’m not brave enough to try cables sans needle yet…

  3. Thanks Terrie for the shoutout! LOVE your Loppem. I”ve got the yarn, but I don’t have the time. Heh. I want to knit it so badly, but my Cosmia has given me a little bit of a bad taste in my mouth. I soooo close!

  4. Pretty pictures, Terrie! Will have to go and check out Mary~Kay’s online store. I was fortunate to receive one great skein of Red Rocks and I like it so much even though the project is on hold at the present. Happy Thanksgiving!

  5. Oooo, you’re doing things I want to do! Looooove Loppem and yours looks great. I just have to not cast on anything new until after Christmas. And everyone keeps telling me to read Twilight – man, I’m so late to the party AGAIN. ; )
