Happy Earth Day!

From Earth Day Network:

Forty years after the first Earth Day, the world is in greater peril than ever. While climate change is the greatest challenge of our time, it also presents the greatest opportunity – an unprecedented opportunity to build a healthy, prosperous, clean energy economy now and for the future.

I’ve been doing a good job of bringing reusable bags to the grocery store, but I need to be better about bringing them to Target and other places I go for “just a few things”. I’m also making sure we conserve energy, recycle more, and I’m even being more careful with things I buy for the cats.

What are you doing for Earth Day?

  1. Likewise… I always have reusable bags in the car, but I don’t always remember to take them with me except at the grocery store. We do reuse the plastic bags as trash bags for the little trash cans around the house…

  2. I’m working on buying fewer items (using the library for more books and DVDs and CDs).

When I do buy things, I’m working on selecting items with more environmentally friendly packaging (or better yet, NO packaging).
