Last weekend we went to a costume-optional Halloween party. Nathan and I spent over an hour wandering around the Halloween Store and couldn’t decide on anything, so I decided to sew a Halloween apron instead. I followed the pattern found here.
I made a pocket (far right), but didn’t have time to attach it before the party started. Actually, I think it makes a nice decoration instead! I also bought some orange fabric and made these cute little treat totes this weekend:
I think I might make some more for Christmas. The totes look adorable with two contrasting fabrics!
Last night Nathan and I went over to his brother and sister-in-laws house for dinner, pumpkin carving and scary movies. Pam & I chose a design from a pumpkin carving kit while Nathan & Mike made up their own designs. I love how brightly the little pumpkins are glowing!
LOVE the carved pumpkins! Cute apron too. I couldn’t decide on anything either. I think next year, Gretchen & I are going to do a twosome costume that “requires” her to be held the whole time. Then she’d be happy to be in a costume contest or parade or something.

Halloween is my least favorite day of the year! BUT, your apron and bags are so very cute! Really made me smile! Make some bags for more holidays. I might even make some. Oh, I have a copy of The Violets Of March Do you want me to send it to you?

Very impressive pumpkins! Seriously, I can’t carve to save my life, so I’m pretty much awed by your skills. They’re adorable and so well done!
