Cabbage Roses Birthday Card

Hi friends! Today I’m sharing a card that is inspired by the Altenew June 2023 Inspiration Challenge.

I had already planned on using one of my Altenew floral layering stamps to make a birthday card for my aunt, so this worked well :) The ink colors I used are based on the inspiration photo above.

This stamp set creates a lovely cabbage rose using four layering stamps. I created two flowers using pink inks on one and purple inks on the other. I then used green inks to make several of both leaves in the set. Next I used the corresponding dies to cut out the flowers and leaves.

I used a dotted scales cover plate on white cardstock and adhered it to a white card base. Then I placed the flowers and leaves on my card front to find an arrangement I liked. After gluing everything to my card, I stamped ‘hugs’ in one of the darker purple inks. I also cut off the tips of the leaves that extended beyond the left and right sides of my card.

Thanks for stopping by :) Enjoy your day!
