Happy Spring!

Hi Friends, how are things going? We had such a mild winter that most of our trees have leaves and flowers have been blooming for a while. It’s been so pretty to see, but it’s also been very dry. I guess it’s good that we got some snow last Friday!

Today I’m sharing a couple Spring cards I’ve made recently.

I’m really loving the look of using embossing folders on backgrounds; the texture and definition are wonderful :) I used a piece of light green cardstock with darker green speckles and this pretty leaf embossing folder for the background and adhered it to a white card base. Next I stamped the sentiment in black ink on white cardstock. I die cut this with a circle, then die cut 2 more circles and glued them together for more dimention. I glued this to the center of my card as shown.

My next card uses a fun embossing folder with tulips and butterflies. As you can maybe tell, I really love these colored cardstocks with speckles :)

After embossing this pink cardstock with gold speckles, I adhered it to a white card base. The tiny butterflies are so cute on this background :) Next I used some gold foil on white cardstock with the birthday sentiment, die cut it with the coordinating die, and cut 2 more pieces of white cardstock. I glued them all together, then adhered to my card as shown.

Embossing folders are such a fun and quick way to make cards! I did spray a bit of water on the cardstock before running it through my die cut machine to help avoid any cracking to the cardstock.

Thanks for stopping by; have a wonderful day!
