Last night I went to Colorful Yarns for their Ladies Night Out Event. It was so fun! They had representatives from Silpada jewelry, Arbonne cosmetics, Discovery Toys and they were also selling some of their knitted/crocheted shop samples. After the event was over I stayed to knit with some of the other ladies.
Originally, I was only going to get another skein of Lamb’s Pride to use in my second Buttonhole Bag. I finally decided on the color Orchid Thistle. I think it should go nicely with the Victorian Pink and Chianti. I also bought extra Denise needle pairs in size 17 to bind-off the bag.
Towards the end of the evening I saw this pattern for an “Easy Knitted Shrug”. I like the idea of having my first knitted garment be all one piece instead of having multiple sections that I have to stitch together! I bought Cotton Fleece in the color Rue, and hope to start this project soon. I’m both excited and intimidated to start!
This shirt is so cute! I think I’ll wear it on Knit In Public day, or maybe when I go to the Estes Park Wool Market, or maybe both days! I’d like to get a couple of larger clear bags to hold some projects. I love the pink zipper!
I actually bought this bag a few weeks ago. It’s the Jetsetter bag from Namaste. Isn’t Raspberry such a fun color for Spring?
I am so glad you came and stayed to knit with us! We will have to keep an eye on eachother’s progress on the easy capelet! I am starting tonight ~ casting on and the first few rows anyway.
Hope to see you again soon!
We will be at Knit Knack in old town Arvada on Tuesday night from 5:00 – 8:00 pm. I will get there around 5:15 or 5:30 pm, maybe we will see you there! :)

Yay Terrie! I’m so glad that you’ve stuck with knitting…and that you’re so excited about it! I love when my friends catch the bug! Let’s get together for movies and knitting when I get back next week. I’m flying home on Tuesday morning and then helping my parents with moving stuff…but I’m off of work all week!! :)

I bought the Namaste Jetsetter in Avocado about a month ago and am STILL loving it everyday! I use mine as a purse with the back half for my knitting. I’m curious about how you’ve organized yours, please share!
