Second Buttonhole Bag Finished

Here is my second attempt at The Buttonhole Bag from Mason-Dixon Knitting. On Tuesday, I actually followed the directions and washed the bag in hot water and rinsed it in cold water, and it came out much better! Unfortunately, it got a little creased in the washing machine, and it doesn’t look like I shaped it very well when I let it dry.

You can see the difference of using hot water or hot and cold water in the felting process! (These bags were the same size knitted up!)

I still think I’d like to try making this bag again, but I will make it a little bigger, and I don’t think I will do the side shaping. I just want a bag that goes straight up rather than out and then back in like these 2. And, as you can see, I still need to figure out what I am doing wrong when I pick up stitches from the bottom; the ridge is still on the outside!
