It was snowing when I woke up this morning. It’s been snowing all day and should continue through tomorrow. I think this is great because I love it when we have snow for Christmas!
Of course, I don’t like it when it’s super cold, either. It’s only in the mid-twenties today, and tomorrow may not even make it out of the teens. Luckily I have an FO that will keep me warm.
These mitts have definitely lived up to their name…I’ve stayed very toasty at work today :)
Pattern: Toast/Toasty
Started: Tuesday, December 1, 2009
Finished: Saturday, December 12, 2009
Yarn: NH Knitting Mama – Mama’s Misc. Merino (Pink Aran)
Needles: Size US 7 DPNs
I knit the Toasty version and it was a super quick knit! (Don’t let my started & completed dates fool you…there were several days in between that I didn’t knit at all!) I love these fingerless gloves, and I think I’ll have to knit Toast as well.
Now, lets talk about the yarn. Love it!! Its 100% merino and so soft! This is the second time I’ve knit with Amanda’s yarn and it’s just wonderful. This hat is the other thing I’ve knit, in case you’re wondering.
Amanda carries hand dyed and hand spun yarn in lace, fingering, DK, sport and worsted weights in a variety of beautiful colors. She also has some fun accessories and patterns on her site. If you haven’t used this yarn yet, now is the perfect time. Not only is the yarn on sale on her website, she’s also having a contest on her blog! All you need to do is spread the word about her shop and you’re entered into the drawing :)
Love the mitts. I will check out Amanda’s. Have a very merry Christmas.

Love the mitts! Enjoy your white Christmas. We have a slick layer of freezing rain falling as I type, but there’s so much snow on the ground it’s still white…

love the mitts. I always wanted a white Christmas when I lived in Chicago. But I only wanted it on Christmas day and then I wanted it to melt away on 12/261!
Happy New Year!
