The Child – Birthday Wishes

Who else loves The Mandalorian? And especially the Child?!? He’s so adorable, and I was really excited to make some birthday cards with the Baby on Board stamp set from Ink Road Stamps. :)

Earlier this year some of our family came for a visit and we were all watching The Madalorian, so I thought the kids would enjoy these birthday cards. For the first one, I wanted to try out the Shutter Card Components die by My Favorite Things.

I used the Star Confetti stencil by Paige Taylor Evans to add stars on some craft cardstock with Hero Arts unicorn ink. I stamped* 2 of the Child images on white cardstock and Nathan colored them with colored pencils and fussy cut the larger one to add to the belly band. The smaller image was placed inside the card behind the shutter feature. You can check it out in the video below:

I used my Silhouette Cameo and a black sketch pen to add the sentiment. I also stamped 1 more Child image and a funny sentiment on the back of the card.

For my next card, I used the Reveal Wheel die and Speech Bubble add-on by Lawn Fawn.

I ink blended Odacious Orange Spellbinders Celebra’tions ink and Fired Brick Distress Oxide ink onto some dark yellow cardstock to make a sunset background. Then I used one of Impression Obsession’s Hill Landscape Layers dies to cut craft cardstock for the ground. I stamped the sweet Child with soup image and asked Nathan to color it for me. He did an awesome job; better than I could have done! :)

I used the Reveal Wheel Sentiments for my greeting and the panel was popped up on a white card base. The video below shows how you can spin the wheel to see each of the sentiments:

*All images were stamped with Gina K. Designs Amalgam Ink in Obsidian.

I hope you have a nice Sunday!
