Happy Thanksgiving!

I know this year is so different, but I hope you were able to enjoy your holiday! We spoke with family on the phone and over Zoom. Since I knew we wouldn’t be getting together to celebrate this year, I wanted to mail Thanksgiving cards to everyone.

I purchased the September My Monthly Hero Kit* from Hero Arts a while ago and thought that would be perfect to make several cards.

This is a fun layering stamp set to make a cool pumpkin patch scene. I used the inks that came in the kit and stamped each layering stamp on several panels before moving on to the next stamp. I love the detail of these layered stamps. :)

After stamping all the images to create the pumpkin patch and cornfield, I took each panel and ink blended Distress Oxide Ink in Tumbled Glass and Broken China. They each turned out a bit different, which was fun.

I let the ink blending dry overnight, then I stamped the birds and different sentiments on each panel. I stamped Happy Thanksgiving on the inside of all the cards and adhered the panels to the front of each one.
