Hi friends! How are you? I really hope things are going well for you!
Today I am sharing a card I made for my dad’s birthday. I have a lot of floral and cute stamps, but I sometimes have trouble finding stamps to make more masculine cards. I recently purchased a fun landscape borders stamp set. It comes with 3 different landscape images, plus some smaller images that you can add to your project. I thought these landscape images would be a great addition so I more of a variety of stamps.
I used a piece of kraft cardstock and stamped the evergreen tree border with grassy hills using Gina K. Designs Amalgam Ink. After the ink was dry, I stamped it again with VersaMark ink, added clear embossing powder and heat set it. I did the same thing with the birds and Dad stamps. I just used a black pen to add the ellipsis after Dad.
Although it’s a little hard to see, all of the images are shiny because of the heat embossing (click to enlarge photo):
I love the extra special touch heat embossing adds to projects! After all the stamping was done I used a rectangle die to cut my kraft panel, and a slightly larger rectangle die to cut a piece of black cardstock. I adhered these both to a white card base. I also stamped a birthday sentiment inside the card.
Thanks for stopping by :) Have a great day!
