Cards, Die Cutting, Holidays, Stamping

Happy Valentine’s Day!

Hi friends! I hope you are staying warm. It was -4º when I woke up this morning, and it’s only warmed up to 1º…brrr! I know a lot of the US is in the middle of an Arctic storm so stay warm and safe!

I thought about using the slimline die from my previous post to make a shaker card for Nathan, but I also had this mini envelope die set that I wanted to use. I ended up making this card instead.

I stamped a ‘love is love’ background stamp onto some gray cardstock using VersaMark ink; this made a nice tone-on-tone text background. Once the ink dried, I used a rectangle die to cut my background piece to 5.5” by 4.25” and adhered it to a white card base.

I cut four mini envelopes, two from pink cardstock and two from red cardstock. I also cut hearts from the same cardstock colors. I added some sparkle to each little heart so they would stand out a bit more on the envelopes. I added glue just to the top of the hearts so the envelopes would open.

After adhering each envelope to my card, I used another die from the set to cut out mini cards to insert into each envelope. I used a few different stamp sets to stamp little messages and hearts to each card.

These tiny messages are so cute! It was fun to add each one to its own little envelope. :)

Thanks for stopping by :) Have a wonderful week!
