Hi friends! I like making Valentine cards to send to my parents and sister, and this year I tried slimline cards. This is the first time I’ve made this size card, and I really like it!
It was especially easy since I used a slimline die set from Lawn Fawn. This is a really fun set with a stitched scalloped rectangle die and a smaller stitched rectangle die that also cuts the interior hearts. I used red and light pink cardstock for the 2 rectangle dies. The 3 interior hearts also cut out the words SMILE, HUGS and UR CUTE. I saved the UR CUTE hearts for another time. I made 2 white slimline card bases and adhered the scalloped rectangles, then the smaller rectangles on top.
For the red rectangle, I inset the pink hearts at the top and bottom, then inset the red letters for SMILE and HUGS. I did the reverse for the pink rectangle. On each card I left the middle heart empty and added some sparkle instead with clear Wink of Stella. Then I used a tiny heart die to cut a white heart to put right in the middle.
For the inside of each card, I used my Silhouette Cameo and a pink glitter sketch pen to add the sentiment on another piece of pink cardstock.
Thanks for stopping by :) Have a wonderful week!
