Pastel Birthday Cards

Hello friends! How has your summer been? Mine has been busy with work and trying not to melt in this heat! I’m looking forward to September, Autumn and cooler weather…I hope :)

Today I wanted to share a couple simple birthday cards. Although these were pretty quick to make, I think the embossed background really makes them feel quite special.

For my first card, I used an ivory colored cardstock, cut to the size of my card. I used an embossing folder with this lovely floral background and adhered the panel to my card. I used some fun sparkly pink patterned paper to die cut the words Happy and birthday, then adhered them to the white die cut shadow pieces and adhered them to the card as shown.

My second card used the same embossing folder, this time with pale blue cardstock cut to the size of my card. For the sentiment, I used a lovely hot foil plate with pale blue foil on white cardstock. Next I cut the sentiment with a stitched oval die and adhered to the card as shown.

Thanks for stopping by; have a wonderful day!
