Happy July friends! I hope you’re having a nice start to the summer, or winter if you’re in another part of the world :) Today I’m sharing a fun card I made for my aunts’ 90th birthday.
I was inspired by a fun interactive pop-up card Carly Tee made and wanted to try it for this card, since I was also using her stamps and dies. I wanted the card to be colorful, yet simple, so I found a nice piece of striped cardstock and cut it to cover a white card base. Next I trimmed a piece of white cardstock to be slightly smaller so I could have the colorful border showing. I die cut the word ‘hugs’ and stamped ‘sending birthday’ over the h. I adhered this panel to the center of my card, then used a metallic pen to place small dots around the panel.
I stamped a sentiment on the inside of my card, then followed Carly’s tutorial to create a floating pop-up above the sentiment. I used balloons to show 90, then added some small hearts and stars for the pop-up elements. You can watch Carly’s tutorial video here, and see a quick video of my complete card below.
Thanks for stopping by; have a wonderful day!
