Happy Halloween friends! Yesterday we got together with family to celebrate a birthday…and carve pumpkins! Here are the fun jack-o-lanterns we created:
I made two Halloween cards this year; this first one is for my sister. I chose a few cute critters and a sentiment to stamp on a dark green cardstock panel.
Then I heat embossed the images using fluorescent green embossing powder. After this had cooled, I stamped the cobwebs in some of the empty spaces for a tone-on-tone look. Once the ink had dried I adhered the panel to a white card base.
My next card I made for my parents. I used the outlined pumpkin stamps and created my own pattern on a dark gray cardstock panel. Then I stamped the different faces onto each pumpkin. Everything was heat embossed with bright white powder.
Unfortunately, I didn’t wait long enough for some of the powder to cool and I smeared it, so I fixed it by die cutting 1 pumpkin out of orange striped paper. After stamping a face I glued it over the messed up pumpkin. Using the same orange paper, I stamped the sentiment and die cut it to adhere to the panel. Then I adhered the panel to a white card base.
Thanks for stopping by! I hope you have a fun Halloween, and a great Monday!
